40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Teal

nothing to disclose

Hello, my dear friends! I have the next mani for the 40 Great Nail Art Ideas challenge to share with you today! This week we start our "color and pattern" portion of the challenge which I'm excited about. If you'll recall, last week all the ladies were inspired by a specific theme (hobbies)...so basically, one week we will do a theme, then a color + pattern prompt, then a theme, then a color + pattern...and so on until we've gone mad ;)

What's cool about the color + pattern portion of the challenge is that while all the ladies will be doing teal colored manis, every has a different pattern prompt! Neat, right? You can check out the inlinkz at the bottom to see what they've all come up with for teal.

Anyway, my pattern...CIRCLES! Hopefully you can tell! I did a different sort of take on the pattern but I quite like it! I was inspired directly from this pattern I came across on Pinterest and at first I wasn't sure if I could duplicate it free-handed, but I started at it awhile and did my best to break down the design.

I started with a base of China Glaze's For Audrey and then painted various size circles in China Glaze's My Way of the Highway. On a few of the dark teal circles, I added some smaller and smaller circles (kind of like a bullseye) with For Audrey to add a little mire interest (and more circles). Then, with a beige acrylic paint, I added a few more circles/bullseyes over the top of what I previously painted. The final step was to paint vertical stripes between all of the beige circles.

How do you like this look? It was fun enough to paint! Be sure to check out the inlinkz below to see (way more than) 40 Great Teal Nail Art Ideas!

Happy Polishing :)
