Nail Art: Talavera Mexican Tiles

nothing to disclose

Hey friends! If you follow me on instagram, you may have seen a sneak peek of today's look on Monday...yep, that's when I painted this! Unfortunately, work and life and trying to stay in some shape other than blob caused me to not have much time during the week for editing of any sort. So here we are, 6 days later ;)

This mani was directly inspired by these great Talavera tiles (Mexican hand painted tiles/pottery) that I came across as part of a designer photo series. The tiles featured one of my all time favorite color palettes, orange, teal, blue, and white. My house is slowly being taken over by these colors so it seemed fitting my nails should as well!

I used a base of China Glaze's Blanc Out (from their Spring Fling collection), and painted the rest using Americana acrylic paints. I'm using the NPxmananails brush and I finished the look up with KBShimmer's Clearly on Top. This is one of the first manis in ages that I've kept glossy for photos! I kind of love it.

I've also put together another video for you guys to see how I painted this look.
And that's it! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend ahead of you filled with good time and good people.

Let me know what you think - Happy Polishing :)
