Nail Art: The Planner Society Kit Washi Series - March 2017

press sample

It's been quite awhile since I've posted here. As has been the theme of my life this past year, I'm just busy. With work and life and blogging has been the thing that gets pushed to the way side. The big thing recently? I MOVED! Yay! My husband and I bought our first home and I couldn't be more thrilled. We are so fortunate.

While it's been radio silence here for awhile, I have been sharing here and there on Instagram...but I'm hoping to get back to posting here as well. I miss the days of long explanations for why I'm doing what I'm doing ;)

Today I've got another look inspired by The Planner Society Kit! You know how I love finding inspiration from washi tape, and Christy's kits are packed full of beautiful prints and patterns that I find so inspiring. This month's kit features pinks and rose gold florals and was lovely in its cohesion.

Cirque Metropolis - Swatches & Nail Art

press sample

Hello, hello! Happy Tuesday! I've got swatches from one of my all time favorite brands today - Cirque Colors! These 6 shades are the next installment of their popular creme polishes, the Metropolis Collection. I can honestly say that the Metropolis collection as a whole is one of the best selection of polishes I've seen. I'm a die hard fan of creme finishes and I feel like Annie does an incredible job each month curating new and exciting shades.

So let's take a look at the polishes that were apart of the tail end of last year's collection!

press sample & affiliate link

Hello, my friends! I seem to say this every time I post, but I have been so busy with work and wedding planning that it's hard to keep up with blogging as well! While, I'm so excited and loving the wedding planning process, I'm also looking forward to having some down time again to be creative and share with you all regularly again :)

But for today, I've got a fun post inspired by one of the tools I use to help keep me on track with all my goals - a mani (or two!?) inspired by the new Erin Condren Life Planners!

Head over to their blog to read my full post and let me know what you think about the looks (and the other ladies who created art as well!).

Winstonia Store - Berry Wine Brush Set: Review & Nail Art

press sample

Hello again, my friends! I have another brush review to share with you today, this time the Berry Wine fine liner brush set made by Winstonia Store. If you'll recall, yesterday I shared my Bambooristic brush set review (and I loved it), so today we're taking a look at anther detail brush set.

Right off the bat, these visually were a win for me because they're ultra fine liners and something that I have been desperately in search of. In the past, I have purchased nail art brushes and had to trim them down myself to get them thin enough to work with so it's incredibly exciting and refreshing to see something this tiny come direct to my doorstep with no changes required.

Winstonia Store - Bambooristic Brush Set: Review & Nail Art

press sample

Hi, friends! I hope everyone had a lovely week! I'm so thankful we had a short week here in the States - I'm exhausted! But! I wanted to share with you my thoughts on a few different brush sets that I've recently gotten to try out from Winstonia Store. I've worked with them a few times in the past and really love the quality of products they put out at an affordable price.

I'll have 3 different brush sets to share with you over the next few days, but I'm going to start with one that I surprisingly really loved as well as show you the nail art I was able to create using the brushes in the set. Let's take a look at the Bambooritic Set!

Happy 4th of July!

nothing to disclose

Hello, my friends! I hope that those of you outside the US had a lovely weekend. Here in the US, most places are off work as we're celebrating our Independence Day! I absolutely love seeing all the 4th of July inspired nail art each year and I like to partake as well whenever possible.

I've done a few looks in the past that I've loved, (like these two flag manis, and this floral & striped look that is reminiscent of what I've done today), but I think this year's look really holds true to my own design aesthetic as well as keeping it patriotic :)

nothing to disclose

Hey, all! I am yet again back with another Planner Society Kit washi tape inspired manicure and I am just so proud of how it turned out! You can check out the rest of the series here.

Today's look is inspired by the wide washi tape that came just a few days ago as part of the June kit. This particular tape was part of the washi tape kit and I'm just in love with. So lovely.

Nail Art: The Planner Society Washi Series - May 2016

nothing to disclose

Hi everyone! :D I hope that those of you celebrating Father's Day yesterday had a wonderful time! I live about 4 hours from my folks so I had a good chat on the phone with my Dad today. Always nice to catch up with him.

I know I've been pretty sporadic with my posting lately, but I'm hoping (yet again) to get back to posting nail art regularly. I am super excited about today's post as it's the start of a little mini "series" (if you will) that I've been intending to do for a long while! Some of you may know that outside of my love of nail art, I'm also a huge fan of all things planners/journals/pens/etc., and I subscribe to a super awesome monthly kit called, The Planner Society Kit. You can check out my planner instagram if you want - I'm @moonlitdaydreamer!

Modish Polish - Swatches, Review, & Nail Art

press sample

Hi, all!

I have swatches from a new to me brand, Modish Polish, to share with you today! I had heard of this brand a few times so I was excited when they got in touch and asked if I'd be interested in trying out a few of their polishes.

Modish was founded by two sisters out of Los Angeles and features a big 5-Free formula and is also Vegan friendly (gotta love supporting cruelty free brands!). You can read more about their mission statement in their About section. Let's take a look at the three polishes I swatched!

Rifle Paper Company - Recipe Tin Floral Print

nothing to disclose

Hi, guys! Hope your Saturdays are going wonderfully! I've got a quick post to share with you today that I'm excited about! I've had this amazing Rifle Paper Company Recipe tin for ages (snagged it from PaperSource) and I've been dying to do nail art inspired by it...but, such is life and I never got around to it.

Well, today, that changes! :D

The Digital Dozen does Spring - Day 5: Cute Cacti

nothing to disclose

You know what's awesome!? Two kittens high fiving on the backs of unicorns. But you know what else is awesome!? Today marks the last of Digital Dozen Spring week! I'm pretty proud to have actually gotten through the week. It's been hard for me lately to get through it all with how busy I've been.

My final look this week is one I've been longing to do for awhile now...I even had the inspiration image as my phone background for a few weeks now! So while I find this pattern adorable and perfect for this time of year, cacti have a special place in my heart. I grew up visiting my great grand-parents home in Borrego Springs, a small desert town at the southern tip of California.

The Digital Dozen does Spring - Day 4: Retro Floral St. Patrick's Day

nothing to disclose

Woah, can you guys believe I've been posting so much!? Me either! :D Pretty proud of myself for keeping up with Digital Dozen week so far. Day 4 of Spring week is also St Patrick's Day so I wanted to try and do something that incorporated both!

The Digital Dozen does Spring - Day 3: Lupine

nothing to disclose

Day Three of Digital Dozen Spring week is here! Yay! And, that means it's also the middle of the week - double yay! It really is a super short post for today though as I'm quite exhausted and need to crawl into bed as soon as I hit publish on this baby!

The Digital Dozen does Spring - Day 1: Song Birds

nothing to disclose

Hiya, all! Today marks the start of another Digital Dozen week and since Spring is just about at our doorstep, we're doing a whole week dedicated to one the season! I'm pretty much WAY excited about it :D

So, while I'm super excited for the theme this month I really don't know where this week will go nail art wise. I'd like to avoid doing flowers every single day, but it's tempting! I started today with a compromise - some floral instead of all floral ;)
