Nail Art: The Planner Society Washi Series - June 2016

nothing to disclose

Hey, all! I am yet again back with another Planner Society Kit washi tape inspired manicure and I am just so proud of how it turned out! You can check out the rest of the series here.

Today's look is inspired by the wide washi tape that came just a few days ago as part of the June kit. This particular tape was part of the washi tape kit and I'm just in love with. So lovely.

So when I was thinking through how I was going create this look, I really wanted to maintain the overall feel of the washi tape. There is sort of a shabby chic feel to it, with wood grain at the base and then the flowers on top of that.

I used a base of China Glaze's New Birth and then a tan acrylic paint to add in some wood grain detailing. Then, with 10 (!!!) different acrylic paints, I added the flowers on over the top of that.

I actually made an attempt at filming myself painting these as well! I tried out a new setup for this and I'm working with some new editing software, so bear with me while I work out the kinks! I apologize because you'll see part of my hair as I'm leaning forward over my nails throughout the movie. Like I said, a few kinks to work out!

I would love to know how you like this look! I'm hoping to get one more mani done as part of this series but I've yet to decide which design I'm going to recreate next. Let me know if you have any ideas!

And again, I used the Berry Wine nail art brushes from Winstonia Store for this one - use code WP10 for 10% off your purchase.

Happy Polishing :)
