NAGG - Day 6: Neon Tribal Nail Art

Hello, all! So I'm hoping that after today's post I will finally be back on track with the Nail-Art-A-Go-Go challenge! I was technically supposed to do post these yesterday, but I was just so exhausted from work that the thought of editing photos made me cringe ;) I am once again sleepy tonight so I'll keep this post short and sweet.

Today's theme for the NAGG challenge is Neon! And, because I haven't done tribal in forever, I decided on a neon tribal look.

And, as I'm sure you can imagine, I have a strong aversion to neon. I'm just not that big a fan and it shows in my polish collection because I literally have 2 neon polishes...Kleancolors...who's formula leaves something to be desired. Because of this, I ended up using some acrylic paints that were as close to neon as I could find.
The base polish is OPI's My Vampire is Buff and I used my trimmed down detail brush to get those tiny lines (that made me go blind for the night). I also mattified this because I just love tribals mattified. I feel like it lets the details shine through a bit more.
I've never done a color palette like this before, so for that reason I'm glad I went with these colors. But this is one of those manis that I like one minute, and the next I hate it. I'm not sure why I'm so undecided about it. I also wish my line work was a bit more precise, but oh well! What do you think?
Be sure to check out the Inlinkz below for Mireia's neon mani! :)

Happy Polishing!
