Glitter Daze - The Mythical Collection: Swatches and Review

Press Sample

Hello, hello! Happy happy Saturday to you all! I've got one more Digital Dozen mani to complete for the week, but I REALLY wanted to share these drool worthy polishes from Glitter Daze today! This is the new Mythical Collection and oh my word are they pretty. These feature the mind blowingly pretty multi-chrome flakies that have been popular as of late and I'm just completely smitten with how pretty these are.

I love mythology and fantasy, so I love that this collection is inspired by some famous mythical creatures. While I don't always like polishes that need to be layered over another polish, in this case, I like that. Whichever polish you decide to use as your base will define the look of each of these multi-chrome flakies and I love the versatility that provides. Glitter Daze is based out of Dallas, Texas, USA and is big 4 free.

Moonlit Mermaid is a beautiful teal to midnight blue multi-chrome flakie top coat that had an easy to work with formula and definitely a necessity for any teal-blue lovers out there. It consists of smaller flakies, with a few scatterings of larger flakes. I've shown 2 easy coats over Zoya's Sailor (dark blue), though it is possible to get a semi-opaque look with just Moonlit Mermaid by itself.

Forbidden Fairy Dust is a mix of multi-colored flakies and holographic shimmer. This one feels the softest and most ethereal of the set, so I paired it over Zoya's Malia to see how well it works with a lighter base. Shown is 2 easy coats.

Essence of a Unicorn is a magenta chrome flakie that contains a majority of smaller flakes, but a few larger flakes as well. I've shown this one over Zoya's Charisma as I wanted to show just how magenta-y it could get! Shown is 2 coats, once again.

Nymphomaniac is one of my favorites of this collection! It's another multi-color shifting flakie that takes you from red/magenta all the way through to blue and green. So striking to the eye! Shown is 2 coats over Zoya's Willa.

Last but certainly not least, Interstellar Dragon. This is probably my favorite of the collection because just look at it! Holy wow. This flakie provides a stunning shift from gold/copper to deep green. I think I love how funky and unique this one is. Shown is 2 easy coats over Zoya's Hunter.

Overall, I am incredibly wowed by this collection. I haven't been completely sold on the multi-chrome flakies that I've been seeing around, but these have swayed me. I think each and every one of these flakie toppers is lovely, but favorites are definitely Interstellar Dragon and Nymphomaniac.
