Metro Pollenating my nails

Hello, all! Well, Sunday night is here once again, and all too quickly. I've decided to paint another floral to cheer myself up a bit. I recently purchased the China Glaze City Flourish collection, and while the formula of this collection leaves something to be desired, the colors are so fantastic that I can overlook the issues with the polishes.

I've been working a few of the new CG collection polishes into my manis lately (my Beauty Buffs post used all CG polishes!) but I haven't found a way to work the vibrant "Metro Pollen-tin" into anything lately. I decided to just paint my nails with it and see where the polish took me! You could say this polish pollenated my nails and created this look! Eh? Eh? ;) Sorry, I only come up with terrible jokes.

This mani is yet another one of my weird color combos that might not work for everyone. I personally love how orange, yellows and blues look together and can't get enough of them. This bright base polish was just begging to get a little blue added to it ;)
When I started this I knew I wanted to do a floral look, but I wasn't sure what kind and I honestly wasn't even sure if I was going to blog about these. I sometimes just paint my nails to relax and won't post the final result so I wasn't thinking much about whether or not these were similar to manis I've done in the past. I do think these are different enough though and unlike any color scheme I've done so far so hopefully these don't feel redundant.
As I mentioned above, I started out with a base of China Glaze's Metro Pollen-tin and then used some of my favorite blues, Zoya's Blu and Natty to paint the flower petals. I used a white polish to add the center portion and almost it at that because I wasn't sure these would look good with any color leaves. I decided the mani was missing something though and used my burnt orange acrylic paint on a whim to add the leaves. I'm really happy I did because it just makes these all the more funky and different.
What do you think of this look? Tired of flower manis from me yet? ;) I hope you all have a wonderful start to your work week and that things go as smoothly as they possibly can!

Happy Polishing :)
