Happy 4th of July!

nothing to disclose

Hello, my friends! I hope that those of you outside the US had a lovely weekend. Here in the US, most places are off work as we're celebrating our Independence Day! I absolutely love seeing all the 4th of July inspired nail art each year and I like to partake as well whenever possible.

I've done a few looks in the past that I've loved, (like these two flag manis, and this floral & striped look that is reminiscent of what I've done today), but I think this year's look really holds true to my own design aesthetic as well as keeping it patriotic :)

So as you have to know by now (seeing as I did a whole series on washi tape inspired manicures!), I love washi tape. I came across this adorable washi tape pairing by a shop called Simply Gilded and I knew immediately that I had to recreate it for today's look. It's just so insanely adorable.

I used a base of Salon Perfect's Sugar Cube for the white checked nails and Zoya's Cynthia for the floral base. As usual, I used my acrylic paints to add in the detailing. I think that this is the first time I've ever done a traditional tablecloth checked pattern and I have to say, I love how it turned out.

Overall, loving this look! I hope that all of you celebrating today stay safe and enjoy yourselves. Happy Independence Day!
