Hi, all! This is the first of two posts for this lovely Saturday that I've got to share...today is all about the Zoya Focus & Flair collections! First up is the shimmer side of things with the Flair collection...check out the Focus side here!
I never know how I'm going to like shimmers on me, but I have to say, I really like a lot of the polishes in this side of the collection. They're great for the season and a few of them will very easily be wearable year round.
Cinnamon is a stunning dark brown shimmer with a slightly metallic finish and is right up my alley! I love brown polishes and while I know they aren't everyone's cup of tea, the shimmer makes this feel very appealing for a wider range of polish wearers. Shown is 2 easy coats.
Aggie is a gold multi-chrome polish that shifts from gold to copper to green and has a steampunk meets debutant vibe to it. Zoya says this has a micro-glitter finish which I agree with and it also looks like it has some tiny flakies mixed in as well. I was worried there would be visible brush strokes with this one, but fortunately this was pretty easy to work with and shown is 3 coats.
Tris is a blackened brush green/silver metal shimmer that is so lovely! I don't think I've got something like this in my collection and it's a happy addition. The formula was really nice to work with and shown is 3 coats, though 2 would have worked just as well.
Ember is a fiery red/orange metallic shimmer that I was a little dubious of prior to painting it on the nail. I'm really not a fan of red metallic, but this was really striking and pretty once on the nail! Plus, this was incredibly opaque and I only needed 2 coats, though the first coat was amazingly dense.
Giada is a deep eggplant purple metallic shimmer of the same persuasion as the other polishes in this side of the collection. While this one isn't that exciting to me personally, it's a nice shade of purple and the formula was very easy to work with. Shown is 2 coats.
Estelle is a blue metallic packed with blue shimmer. It's again not entirely my taste, but it's a great, classic blue metallic and the formula was SO great to work with. Shown is 2 coats.
I also did a mattified version of a stained glass looking using all the shades of the collection. I kind of like how they turned out!
You can grab these babies for yourself from the Zoya shop now. They're available as both a collection and individually. Be sure to follow Zoya on your favorite social media site to stay up to date with the latest collections and promos!
