ALIQUID Lacquer - Incarnate Collection: Swatches & Review

press sample

Hello, all! I hope you're having a wonderful Thursday! I have swatches of the stunning and daring Incarnate collection from ALIQUID Lacquer today! I have gushed over ALIQUID polishes on many an occasion, but these, these just may be my favorite so far. The collection is actually inspired by a video game, the Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, and as someone who has played a later game in this series, I was very excited to try these shades out.

Now, don't worry, if video games aren't you thing, no one will ever know the underlying theme of the polishes. All they'll be able to do is look at the polish on your nail and drool. Yep, these are stunners! I've said it time and again that I love the risks and unique color combos that Alison dreams up. She really is one of my favorite indie makers because she just goes for it every single time! She has a very nice sense of who she is as an artist and maker and her voice is always very clear to me in each polish she creates...but enough swooning, let's look at the swatches!

Mercy, Mastery, Mystery is a deep denim blue creme with red/pink iridescent shimmer. There are also small multi-chrome flakies that shift from red to green mixed in for an even bigger wow factor. I really love this one! It's the perfect shade of blue. Shown is 3 easy coats.

Moon and Star is blurple holo with larger holo specs added in. Seriously, another incredible polish. Like a galaxy in a bottle and the application was spectacular. Shown is 3 breezy coats.

Divine Disease is a coppery green creme with multi-chrome shimmer and large flakies. This is what Alison does so well - she mixes unexpected colors together and makes them beautiful. Really enjoyed this one. Shown is 3 coats.

House of Troubles is a blackened forest green jelly with red flecks packed in. This was desceiving in the bottle as I thought it was more of a black and red, but the green and red is so unexpected and really does work (it doesn't feel Christmas-y). Shown is 3 coats.

Sleepers Awake is a dusty lavender creme with a scattering of holo glitter and a sprinkling of iridescent flakies. Such a pretty hue of purple! I'm dying over it! Shown is 3 super easy coats.

Beneath Red Mountain is a burnt red umber with red shimmer mixed in. This one screams "fall" to me as it reminds me of the changing leaves. It's a subtle shade but very nice. Shown is 3 coats though 2 would have been plenty.

Doom Drum is a deep magenta jelly packed with silver square and hex glitters. This is a really rich color and the more coats you do, the deeper and prettier it becomes! There is a subtle purple shimmer to this one as well that you see in direct light. Easy formula and shown is 3 coats.

Outlander is a rich sepia brown with silver flakies that are a bit subtle on the nail, but the color is really great. The silver flakes give it an almost gunmetal effect which is really fun. Shown is 3 coats but this is another that could work with just 2 coats.

Overall, this collection has turned me into a 12 year old girl because I literally can't even. I love this whole collection and the awesome risks that were taken in regards to the color combos. It's so incredibly fall yet feels so classy and rich and just perfect. These are my kind of colors. The formulas were all great to work with and I can't say I can choose a favorite.

You can purchase the entire Incarnate collection now from the ALIQUID shop for $10/bottle (she also offers minis!). In case you missed it, I'd also check out this month's ASPCA charity polish (swatches here) since Alison is donating $5 of every bottle sold to the ASPCA - you'll get yourself a lovely polish while also helping out animals in need.
