Geometric Gradient Nail Art

Nothing to Disclose

Happy Saturday, all! I have family visiting this weekend (plus it's my younger sister's 21st birthday ~ wish use luck!) so I really wanted to do something bright and fun to get me through the weekend.

I really wasn't sure what I wanted to do for today and lately my default mani has been a gradient. I just love how interesting it looks without being too over the top - and not to mention that's it's incredibly easy to paint!

About a month ago I tried doing a gradient with acrylic paints for the first time and it was absolutely wonderful! The cleanup was the easiest I have ever encountered (all you have to do is scrub the paint off of your fingers with a brush and warm water, unlike polish that needs to be carefully removed with acetone/polish remover) and it blended and sponged on beautifully. It was late when I started this so I opted for the quick route of acrylic paints for this look.

While my mani is all acrylic paint, I do typically hold a polish bottle in a majority of my photos. Because of this, I did end up grabbing a polish that was similar in shade to one of the colors in the gradient to hold for the photos...it's so close in color, I hope you don't mind! For those curious, it's Essie's Ruffles & Feathers! And here's a shot of the gradient sans nail art which I like just as much. Reminds me of the Mystery Machine from Scooby Doo! ;)

I used white acrylic paint for the simple geometric print and I really like how clean these look. I kind of wish I had this in a phone case or something like that! I love doing gradients under nail art as I think it just adds that extra little something.

So what do you think of these? Hopefully you are all having a wonderful weekend!

Happy Polishing :)
