Nothing to Disclose
Oh man! It's late and I'm sleepy, but I've got the next installment of the Nail-Art-A-Go-Go challenge to share with you all! I'm sure you all have given up on me ever finishing this challenge, but Mireia is really helping motivate me to get back on track. So, today I tackled the 'sweets' theme and painted M&Ms on my fingers ;)
This is not my typical nail art. I'm not usually one to paint items or brands on my fingers, but I liked the challenge of painting small circles, oblong shapes (to simulate the M&Ms laying on their sides), and fine line work that this mani presented.
I used all acrylic paints with this look and mattified it at the end (hence holding the OPI Matte Top Coat bottle). I started by painting a few circles that you see in the forefront and then (patiently) added partial circles around or under the other circles. I used a very fine detail brush to outline all the candies in black and then finished off the look by adding in all the "ms". I left several of the candies sans m since I was trying to make these look like a pile of M&Ms which wouldn't necessarily have all the ms facing up.
This isn't my favorite mani that I've ever done, but I still think they're fun and I'm enjoying how they look on my fingers when I catch them out of the corner of my eye. I suppose I can check "painting small candies" of of my nail art bucket list now ;)
What's your favorite sweet? I know M&Ms are pretty popular and I must say I can resist them whenever they're around me. I'll try not to eat my fingers off between now and when I take this mani off!
