A Day in the Tropics - Tropical Floral Nail Art

Nothing to Disclose

Hello, all! How sick are you of seeing floral manis from me?? Hopefully not so sick of it that you don't want to look anymore ;) Today I've got a quick little post of a mani that turned out a bit more tropical feeling than I intended...but I've had a rough week so I can't complain too much about thoughts of sandy beaches and beautiful flora.

I had originally done these for my Very Emily guest post, but once I finished, I just wasn't feeling it for that. While I think these are cool looking, they're a bit odd and don't really encompass my style as an artist so I wanted to save them for a later date.

This is a base of OPI's My Vampire is Buff (which I haven't used in way too long!) and the rest is done with American Acrylic paints. The teal and dark blue backgrounds are (supposed to be) a layer of leaves that the flowers are on top of. This was originally inspired by this Urban Outfitters rug that I spotted on pinterest, but I think I put my own spin on it.

These aren't my favorite, but I figured I'd share with you all anyway. Hopefully your week is going better than mine and hopefully I'll have some more nail art in the next few days :)

Happy Polishing :)
