Themed Thursday - January 28th: Winter Wonderland

Hi, all! Super short post today! I've been so insanely swamped with work the last few weeks that I have had almost no time for myself lately. And to top it all off, I had two major breaks of my nails on Monday D: so yeah, shorties for right now! Kind of feels old school ;) Also, one of the few times where I've only got *gasp* one photo to share.

Anyhow, I've been so bad about my nail art lately that I really wanted to take part in the last week's prompt for January's Themed Thursday challenge!

The last prompt is Winter Wonderland so I've painted a mountain scene with a light dusting of snowfall!

This was pretty easy to create though. I started with a base of Zoya's Blu and then did layers down the nail using Zoya's Rocky, Ling, and Sailor (in that order). Then I went back in and painted the trees and snow...alright, so a super simplified version.

Well, these aren't quite candy canes, more like those little peppermint mints that you get from restaurants! But they still remind me of this time of year :)

Hi Guys! Another short and sweet post because I am exhausted! I've been so busy but I've got a bunch of Themed Thursday posts coming your way as well as a few more reviews so let's dig in! :D

So this Themed Thursday post is actually meant for last Thursday, December 17th but I was super busy and just emotionally drained so the idea of doing nail art was just...bleh! Not going to happen! Anyhow - I am SO excited about how today's manicure turned out! The theme for the 17th was Santa and Friends so I of course had to paint Santa and his Reindeer!

Hey, all! I'm going to keep things short and sweet today because I am EXHAUSTED! I've been a painting and photo/video editing machine all weekend and let me tell you - it's a ton of work!

Today I've finally got my Themed Thursday post (special Sunday edition!) ready to share on time! It's a Christmas miracle! Today's challenge prompt was gingerbread! I went back and forth on whether I should paint gingerbread men or their houses...or both? Ultimately though, I got inspired by this print and decided to just go with all gingerbread houses! Besides, they're the fun part of winter desserts ;)

Themed Thursday - October 29: Trick or Treat

Hello, hello! I hope everyone is having a wonderful week! We're just two days way from Halloween here in the states and today is also the last day of our first ever Themed Thursday month! I'm so proud to have gotten through the challenge and it's been so awesome to see all the creative manis from my fellow nail artists - you guys are rockin' it!

The final theme of the month is "Trick-or-Treat" which I wasn't entirely sure how to handle. I contemplated doing some of my favorite Halloween candy for today, but I also loved the idea of the actual act of trick-or-treating...the process of getting dressed and asking strangers for candy ;)

Hi, guys! I'm really excited to share today's mani! So much so that I'm staying up late to edit and write this! Glad it's Friday tomorrow (er, today?) ;) I'm speed typing so I can finish this up before my melatonin kicks in and I pass out on the keyboard!

Hi all!

How sad is it that I'm a week behind on my own dang challenge!? I've got a quick post today to share my Themed Thursday Monsters mani! Last week was a bit of an emotional roller coaster for me I wasn't able to focus my energies on nail art. I also struggled a bit with what exactly to paint for today.

My initial thought was to paint the traditional Halloween monsters - vampires, mummies, zombies, and the like. But when I sat down to paint these, I couldn't find inspiration. I didn't know how to put my own spin on these and so I just sort of sat on it and mulled it over for far too long. After over a week of sitting with 100+ monster related tabs open on my computer, I finally decided to "eff it! I'll just do this!"...and painted little monsters inspired by this pattern.
