Day Three of Digital Dozen Spring week is here! Yay! And, that means it's also the middle of the week - double yay! It really is a super short post for today though as I'm quite exhausted and need to crawl into bed as soon as I hit publish on this baby!
For today's look, I'm keeping things really fresh and simple. Where I grew up, each spring the roadways all bloom with lupine, their perfume filling the air as you drive by with the windows down, blasting whatever song you proudly know every lyric to. It's a pretty magical thing.
I considered painting a field of lupine, but in the end, I wanted to show their simple beauty. I think I've painted lupine before (yes! It was part of this mani for DD week!) but I've never done a close up shot of them. I don't think I painted their blossoms quite tall/long enough, but I also kind of wanted to show them as they first look when they pop up at the start of spring, with minimal bloom.
I used a base of China Glaze's New Birth from the Giver Collection (so it has a touch of blue in it...though you can't tell in the photos) and the rest was acrylic paints.

Happy Polishing :)
