Glam Polish - Darkly Dreaming: Swatches, Review & Nail Art

press sample

Well hello, hello! Long time, no blog! I can't believe it's been so long since I last blogged...my absence is due to some "Summer" cleaning. It's like Spring cleaning, but it's for us procrastinators who can't get their act together until several months later :-P I have basically spent the last 3ish weeks decluttering and organizing my home while also figuring out new layouts and buying new furniture, plants, and decorations. Basically, I've done a mini overhaul of my house and finally found places for all those little things I've been putting off since we moved in and I am LOVING being in my house!

Anyway! Back to the post at hand! Today I have some striking new Glam Polish shades to share today! Glam's Darkly Dreaming collection is inspired by one of my favorite TV shows, Dexter. Rachel has done executed such a great take on this TV show! I love the vibrant and rich hues and think it's great for a brooding and mysterious serial killer ;)

I did break my ring finger nail pretty badly last week so that's the reason for the shorties but I'm finding it pretty cleansing to have my nails shorter.
Remember the Monsters? is a dark blue, scattered holo with ultra holo glitters and shimmering glass flecks. This is a similar formula to the ones we saw in the Cast a Spell collection and I fell just as hard for this one as I did for those polishes. This is so stunning and the perfect shade to transition us from Summer to Fall. Shown is 2 easy coats with top coat.

Doomsday is a dark purple scattered holo packed with the stunning ultra holo glitter and shimmering glass flecks that is the trend of the collection. Again, such a beautiful shade! In the bottle it looks like it's going to have more silver/metallic in the polish, but on the nail it a deep and vivid shade. Shown is 2 easy coats.

This reminds me of a galaxy...so I did a simple take on the night sky with a teal and white starscape.

Scar Tissue is a deep fuchsia holo, again with the ultra holo glitter and shimmering glass fleck. As I'm sure you know by now, I'm not always a fan of reds and pinks, but this one is such a rich shade that it is very wearable without being too in your face. Shown is 2 coats.

And finally, a simple geometric look using acrylic paint and a striping brush!
