Fair Maiden Polish - Garden Party Collection, Spring 2015: Swatches & Review

Press Sample

Hello, all! I have a stunning new collection from Fair Maiden Polish to share with you all today! The spring inspired Garden Party collection will be live in just a few short hours and you'll be able to grab any and all of these colors at 10am CST, 03/21.

As you might assume, this collection is inspired by the garden and I think the makers (Adrienne & Sarah) did a wonderful job of capturing the feeling you might have at a garden party. Overall, I am incredibly impressed with the professionalism and attention to detail that these ladies have put into their brand and to top it off, I am slightly obsessed with their floral logo!

Gilded Garden is a rosy champagne metallic holo with rose gold flecks mixed in. Wow, this one is beautiful. It's incredibly elegant and classy and I could see this being the perfect wedding day polish. The formula was easy enough to work with, though because it is a metallic polish, I did get visible brush strokes on some nails. However, shown is just 2 coats so this beauty will last you forever.

This is the only Limited Edition polish of this collection and it comes with FMP's signature rose gold arrow ring. This one is priced $2 higher than the bottles in the rest of the collection, but completely worth it in my opinion.

Stargazer is a muted rose with a subtle linear holo. This seems to shift to a golden green in the light which makes for a very pretty polish. The formula was wonderful and while I could definitely have gotten away with 2 coats, I've shown it with 3 because I felt that the color got richer with each coat.

Sweet Honeysuckle is a soft coral pink with a golden red shimmer effect. Oftentimes, coral polishes like this will be super streaky and difficult to build opacity, with, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that this was practically opaque in just 2 coats (though I've shown it with 3 for good measure). Great formula on this one.

Evening Primrose is a pastel yellow creme with a soft irridescent shimmer. This one has a similar formula to Sweet Honeysuckle above and I ended up needing 3 coats to reach opacity as there was a tiny bit of patching before then. This one was difficult to capture on camera so the shimmer is more pronounced in person.

Green Goddess is a bright spring green linear holo that leans ever so slightly yellow. This is a quintessential spring color to me and perfect for this time of year, though I know I'll easily wear it year round. Shown is 3 coats.

Mint Succulent is a pale blue/green/grey linear holo that is aptly named in my opinion! It completely reminds me of the greens and reds that you seen in beautiful succulents and I love it. The formula was great and shown is 3 coats.

Blue Moon Wisteria is a deep blurple creme with a touch of purple shimmer that makes for a beautiful polish. While I love the holos of this collection, this is such a stunning color and I love that it is opaque in just 2 easy coats. Great polish!

Neptune Rose is a vibrant orchid creme with a subtle teal shimmer. This was an immediately standout when looking at the collection and it didn't disappoint on the nail! It leans almost pink, and the combination of the teal shimmer really makes for a striking polish. Shown is 2 super easy coats.

And finally, Maiden's Blush, a light lilac with red and violet shimmer and a strong linear holo. The first coat had me feeling meh about this but the second had me in awe. This is definitely one of those polishes that gets better and better with each coat. I've shown it with 3 but you could probably get away with 2. Love this one!

Overall, I really love this collection. These ladies completely captured the elegance and beauty of a garden party all while keeping it fun and springy. The formulas on every single one of these was super easy to work with and I'm just all around a fan of this product.
