Polished for Days - Holiday Collection: Swatches, Review & Nail Art

press sample

Happy Thursday, all! I have had such an insanely busy work week but I'm finally getting to share some beautiful new polishes from one of my favorite indies, Polished for Days! The Holiday Collection consists of 6 shades thoughtfully curated to get you through the holiday season...though I think there are quite a few polishes in this collection that will be worn year round by yours truly!

Polished for Days is 5-Free, Cruelty free, and Vegan friendly...let's take a look!

Very Berry Christmas is a magenta-red linear holo with green ultra chameleon chrome (UCC) flakies mixed in. I also enjoy when I nice holo has a little extra something and those UCC flakes make this a really interesting polish. Nice formula and shown is 3 coats, though 2 might have been good!

Candy Cane Lane is a silver holographic micro glitter with red and white metallic and matte glitters mixed in. I LOVE this one. I really enjoy a micro-glitter polish (this is really well done, too! Shown is 2 easy coats), and I really like a light polish. This one is fun because not only do I get the light look on the nail, I also get such a festive and fun finish that it's perfect for this time of year, but not too overpowering...I don't know if that makes sense haha but it's best way I can describe my feelings about it. Really like the look of this one!

Better Not Pout is a red, green, and silver holographic micro glitter with the same green UCC flakies we saw in Very Berry Christmas. I always like when there is a common element across different polishes in a collection and while they're subtle in the one, I do like the addition to the micro-glitters. The application was easy, though this is did need 3 coats to reach the opacity that I personally enjoy. I really like this polish as well - something really unique and eye catching!

Nose So Bright is another magenta-red shade, but this time is'a jelly base with sterling silver flakes and holographic glitters. This one leans more pink and while it definitely has a winter vibe to it, it will work well year round as well. Shown is 3 coats.

Son of a Nutcracker is a silvered bronze metallic linear holo with sterling silver flakies and scattered holographic glitter. This one almost looks like it leans lilac in certain light and it's stunning! I'm not much for metallic finishes, but this is quite lovely and will be perfect for many occasions this season...but I think I might also have to consider this for a wedding polish! It's delicate and feminine, but still strong and beautiful. Shown is 2 coats.

No Peeking! is a bright, pine green base with holographic silver micro-glitters and a strong green iridescent shimmer. This is another that has me swooning - love love love a great green and the sparkly goodness in this one makes me love it all the more. The formula was a tad thick, but I only needed 2 coats so it wasn't a problem at all.

I also wound up doing some holly berries with 3 of the polishes and I love how the look turned out. I actually wore this for a few days, I loved it so much! The base is Son of a Nutcracker, and the holly was made up of No Peeking! and Very Berry Christmas :D

Also now available in the Polished for Days shop is something I am immensely excited for - body care products! I've used some of PfD cuticle oil in the past and really enjoyed it so I was so excited to see more products available.

While I don't think you can go wrong with any of these, I especially loved the body butter and cuticle balm! I also think that all the scents (grapefruit, crisp apple, meyer lemon, and honeysuckle) are so insanely spot on. I keep opening them up, taking a deep breath and just appreciating how good they smell.

These would be GREAT stocking stuffers...*hint hint* ;)

Overall, I am once again smitten by the beautiful polishes Jenna at Polished for Days creates. She has such a great eye and sense of what will work great together. I also appreciate that there are quite a few polishes in this collection that I plan to wear year round.
