Powder Perfect - Quest for Paradise: Swatches, Review & Nail Art

press sample

Hello, all! I have a set of beautiful new polishes from on of my favorite brands, Powder Perfect, to share with you all today! Jacinta of Powder Perfect always creates such whimsical and stunning collections and this new Quest for Paradise collection is no different.

Sail the seven seas & search for your polish pardise...

Let's dig in and check out this eye-gasm of a collection ;)

Lagoon is first up in the collection and it is an aqua holographic polish with a scattering of blue glitters that add for a nice additional effect. The color is mesmerizing and the formula was great! Shown is 2 easy coats.

Since this collection is all about paradise, mermaids, and treasure, I figured I HAD to paint some booty ;) precious gem stones and pearls make everyone happy, right?

There Be Mermaids! is a vivid turquoise holo crelly with some fine glitters mixed in. It might be hard to tell, but there is a lovely gold in the mix that goes beautifully with the turquoise. Great formula and shown is 2-3 smooth coats.

And it wouldn't be a quest for paradise without a ship to get us there...I hand painted this with black acrylic paint and thought it was a fun little silhouette!

Uncharted Territory is a soft magenta holographic shade and would be great for anyone who loves a good magenta! This was easy enough to work with, though in person there were a few brush strokes visible, but nothing to fret over. I've shown 3 coats, but 2 would have been fine - just make sure to wait long enough between coats so the polish doesn't get too thick.

Treasure Chest is a multi-colored hue that shifts from deep violet to bronze to deep green. For even more interest, there is a bunch of holographic glitter mixed that made me say "OH MY GOODNESS" out loud...it's pretty pretty! It's a jelly formula so I applied 3 easy coats to reach full opacity and get the greatest depth of color.

Finally, Why is the Rum Always Gone? is a pale amber holo with subtle flakies throughout (though I had a hard time seeing those). Easy formula to work with and shown is 2 coats.

As a final look, I tried a still new to me technique and created a needle drag design using the last three polishes of the collection. It didn't turn out quite as I imagined it would, but I love how these 3 colors look together so I thought I'd share anyway!

Pre-orders for this collection begin tomorrow, 9/24 at 10am and go until 9/30. You'll recieve 10% off when you pre-order so if this is singing your name, don't wait to order. The collection goes live at the regular price after the pre-order ends. You can purchase the collection here.

If you're an international fan, be sure to check out the various stocklists that carry Powder Perfect as well.

So, what say you? ;) any of these look appealing to you? I have to say that I really enjoyed this whole collection and I especially like Treasure Chest and Lagoon!

Happy Polishing :)
