The Digital Dozen does Floral - Day 3: Abstract & Simple Floral Nail Art

Nothing to Disclose

Hello, all! It's day 3 of the Digital Dozen does Floral week and while I'm not really in love with anything that I've done this week, I'm really proud of myself for keeping up with the week so far!

For today's look, I wanted to do something simple and I came across this image that I see regularly while browsing Pinterest...yes, this is also Pinterest inspired week ;)

As you can see, I mixed up the color palette quite a bit, but I just fell in love with these shades together. How well they work together on the nail though, I'm not sure. I keep going back and forth on this look and I'm really not sure how I feel about it at the moment. I have a feeling this is going to be a "love it or hate it" look, but hey! That's alright.

I used a base of Zoya's Charisma (which is basically the goddess of all purple polishes) and top coated it to provide a protective base for the nail art. With OPI's My Boyfriend Scales Walls, I did a simple 3-petaled flower outline and then added the random orange and tan center blobs using Zoya's Thandie and Flynn, respectively. With black acrylic paint I add the few center accent dots and finishes it all off with the bright green leaves in China Glaze's Def Defying.

I like this mani because it's different and it's not something that I would normally create...though I do think it's still within my style. How do you feel about this one?

Happy Polishing :)
