Hello, all! Happy Earth Day! I love the idea behind today so much and even though it was late when I realized the date, I knew I had to do some Earth Day nail art :)
I did an Earth Day mani last year and really loved it (and it was actually featured in a Divine Caroline Earth Day mani list!) so I really wanted to try something again this year.
Since it was late, I turned to the internet for inspiration and came across this brilliant idea! I altered it a bit for my flowers, but I just loved the idea of the flower with the earth in the center. I've never seen anything like it.
I wasn't sure if I should leave the index finger and pinky with just the simple grass tips (and I did like it like that!), but I ended up painting the two hummingbirds since they're one of my favorite birds and just seem so happy and perfect for Earth Day.
I used Zoya's Kristen as the base blue polish for this one, but the rest was done with Americana Acrylic paints and my new 18/0 liner from Loew Cornell. I'm sure I have similar polishes in my collection to the colors I used, but I was going for a lot of detail and went with the acrylics instead.
Did you do an Earth Day mani? What do you think of this one?
Happy Polishing :)
