Hello, all! Happy Friday! I have a double post to share with you today, both related to the Digital Dozen does Food week. If you scroll back through the rest of this week's posts, you'll see I painted tiny patterns all focused around the five major food groups: Vegetables, Fruits, Proteins, Dairy, & today's final group, Grains! Well, more specifically, bread!
Bread is probably the best thing ever, am I right? ;) Keeping with my mini pattern theme of the week, I wanted to paint some of my favorite breads for the final day of the week. I'm a lover of a great croissant, a tasty baguette, and, the classic sliced bread.
Now, as I was painting these, I kept asking myself if these looked like something else...but, I figured they're similar to bread items that even though they might look like some other thing, they hopefully mostly pass for bread :p (or, perhaps you only see bread in which case, yay!).
I used a base of China Glaze's In a Lily Bit (which has a REALLY tough formula to work with but is an amazing color) of did the detailing with acrylic paints like most of the manis this week. To finish up, predictably, I used a matte top coat.
Overall, I think these are fun and I really enjoyed painting all these food themed patterns this week. Hopefully you enjoyed them as well!
