Hello, hello! Today I have the Zoya Satins Transitional Winter/Spring collection to share with you all! I've been home sick the last two days and feeling awful, but I figured it was the perfect opportunity to actually edit and post the collections I've swatched lately.
When I first saw these polishes I squealed in delight...I mean, look at these lovelies! Everything from the color palette to the frosted bottles feels sophisticated and elegant and the satin finish on these lives up to that standard. I did struggle slightly with application when I first started using these. The first 3 polishes I'm showing caused some heartache when it came to application, but the last 3 were a breeze. I'm not sure if it was the individual polishes causing problems, or if there was a learning curve which made application at the end easier...either way, some people may struggle with the formula, other may not!
Tove is a slate grey creme and, as I'm a sucker for a great grey, I love this one! It definitely looks blue next to the other shades, but on it's own, you really see the true grey. The formula was easy enough to use, though it did seem to thicken up a little bit as I used it more. Shown is 3 coats, not top coat.
Brittany is a dusty rose creme that feels very sophisticated to me - it'd be a great interview shade! Formula wise, this was like Tove and slightly tricky to work with. Shown is 3 coats.
Ana is lovely! It's a light pinkish-nude that is just beautiful on. Reminds me of ballet point shoes! I love pale pinks like this and can definitely see this getting used as a base for nail art as well as a nice palette cleanser. Shown is 2 coats.
Leah muted lavender and oh how I love it! It has some taupe undertones that give it some depth and it has a great formula. Shown is 2 coats.
Rowan is a light greyed out brown that I'm really digging. I'm a big fan of browns in general and I like how soft this one is. I think it's too dark as a base for nail art, but on it's own, I'm excited to have it as an option. Shown is 2 coats.
Sage is...well, a sage green creme! I love that there is a little pop of color on this neutrals collection. It follows with this collection's trend of dusty colors and is a very mellow and calming color. The formula was great and shown is 3 easy coats.
Overall, I enjoyed this collection! I like the finish quite a bit, but I know the wearability on these might be shorter than your average polish since you're not using a top coat. I think the colors are so lovely and elegant and perfect for this time of year. If I had to pick, Tove, Sage, and Rowen.
