Happy Wednesday, all! I know I'm glad it's the middle of the week (I loathe Tuesdays!) and I've got a great new collection to share with you from ALIQUID Lacquer! The Austentatious Collection is inspired by the unforgettable Bennet sisters of Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice!
I think Alison has done a great job of capturing the tone and beauty of the book and the era and I just love how these look! One of the things I love best about this brand is how creative and unique Alison's polishes are. She always creates polishes that I've never seen before and I love the unique color combos she whips up...and these shades are no different!
Too Apt to Like People is a nude based crelly with a gold shimmer and flecks of multi-chrome shards. This reminds me of a bird's egg, really pretty and natural! I really like the look of this one! It is on the sheer side so shown is 4 thin coats but some visible nail line shows in person.
Cough as Much as You Choose keeps in line with SaDS and TAtLP from above. It's a pale blue crelly with a subtle shimmer and a scattering of multi-chrome flakies. This one reminds me of a Robin's egg! So lovely. Shown is 3 easy coats.
Fine Eyes is chocolate brown jelly with orange and iridescent glitter. As I mentioned, Alison likes to take risks with her polishes and I think this is going to be a love it or hate it situation. I personally really like this one because I love a great brown polish. Shown is 3 coats.
Young Lady in Deep Reflection is a tan-brown creme with a scattering of multi-chrome flecks and I'm obsessed. This is the perfect shade of grey and I think will work great with almost any skin tone. Shown is 3 thin and easy coats (though 2 would have been sufficient!).
In addition to polishes, ALIQUID also carries handmade lip balms (and many other items!) and one of the new delicious fragrances is an Earl Grey scented one, perfect for this collection ;) it smells so great and feels great on. I love that these apply nice and smooth and don't feel greasy on my lips. Definitely a fan of these lip balms!
Overall, completely pleased with this collection. I think it's beautiful and different and while it may not be for everyone, I know that it will speak to a lot of people.
