Renaissance Cosmetics - Spring 2015 Collection: Swatches, Review & Nail Art

Press Sample

Hello, all! Let's start our Monday's off right with some swatches of the BEAUTIFUL new Renaissance Cosmetics Spring 2015 collection! There is a great mix of finishes in this collection so there is something for everyone and while it's definitely a spring collection, there is still a good mix of shades to make these wearable year round. Let's take a look!

Winter Sleeps is a white crelly with blue, teal, and silver micro-glitters and a tiny hint of shimmer. I love this one! I love crellies with small glitter like this and I have to say this is my favorite of the collection. Shown here is 3 thin and easy coats.

One of the first ways I know that winter has finally started to depart is when I begin to see Robin Redbreast birds around. I love how idyllic these beautiful birds are and I think they're a great representation of winter sleeping...so here is my sweet little robin.

Tiny Petals Everywhere is another crelly, this time a soft, almost lavender base, with blue, pink, and magenta micro-glitters along with the subtle silver shimmer I love. Shown is 2-3 breezy coats!

As the name suggests, I've painted tiny petals, everywhere ;)

Spring Found Me is a soft yellow crelly base packed with pastel micro-glitters. This one screams Spring to me but is still just subtle enough to be wearable whenever you'd like. Shown is 3 coats.

Another name I love, Spring Found Me brings to mind the tiny greenery that always pushes it's way through the cold earth each year, and without fail, spring finds us.

Earliest Spring is a powder blue creme packed with subtle pink shimmer and a scattering of pink micro-glitters. This reminds me of a softer version of Cursed from last year's Modern Vamp collection and has the great formula I've come to expect from Renaissance. Shown is 2 coats.

A World of Blossoms is almost the invert of Earliest Spring. It's a pink creme with shimmer and blue micro-glitters. This definitely evokes the feelings of spring and is very feminine and delicate. Shown is 3 coats.

Flora is another favorite of the collection. This pastel glitter topper is so unique and pretty and I can't say I've seen anything quite like it floating around. I've shown one easy coat over Zoya's Charisma, but this one is so versatile you can pair it over most polishes.

Daybreak utilizes the mutli-chrome flakies we've been seeing in a gentle way, that allows it to be a bit of a surprise mixed in with the white, gold and magneta glitters. The multi-chrome flakes are like a little treat mixed in! Shown is one easy coat over Zoya's Wednesday, but again, this can work over almost any polish base.

Finally, we have Petals & Things, a densely packed multi-chrome flakie topper that is stunningly opaque in 3 smooth coats. I wasn't sure at first glance if this felt like a spring polish to me, but the rich and vibrant gold and purple that show through ultimately do feel like spring to me. I don't know how to describe this one other than stunning.

Once again, I am blown away by this latest collection. You can really tell how much effort goes into creating these mixes and I like that these don't look like your typical spring collection, but are still very much spring polishes. I love Winter Sleeps and Flora, though the rest are close contenders.

You can purchase (or pre-order) these polishes now from the Renaissance Cosmetics website, along with a few other past shades. Pre-order items will take slightly longer to ship, but I promise they will be worth the wait. Use code wondrously15 for 15% off your purchase of $12 or more and is valid for the next two weeks.
