Barielle - Gentle Breeze, Spring 2015: Swatches, Review & Nail Art

Press Sample

Hi, all! I have a new collection from one of my favorite brands to share today! Barielle has released their spring collection, Gentle Breeze, and it definitely has an air of easy breezy sophistication. The collection is made up of classic cremes (that I always love from Barielle!) as well as some cremes with subtle and beautiful shimmers mixed in. I've also done some abstract floral nail art with these because I loved the look of them all together!

Under the Sea is a lovely dark teal shimmer creme that, while dark, still fits in wonderfully with this set of polishes. It's not your typical spring shade and I think that's why I appreciate it so much. Nice to see something different! The formula was wonderful and shown is 3 easy coats.

Pink Parasol is soft carnation pink creme that is not a shade I'd normally gravitate towards, but wow is it pretty! I'm sure there are dupes of this one floating around, but if you're looking for a perfect pink to add to your collection, the flawless formula on this can't be beat. Shown is 3 easy coats.

Heaven Sent is a pale, baby blue creme that leans toward robin's egg blue. Totally stunning, and totally perfect for this time of year. Can't you just hear the birds chirping while looking at this color!? Shown is 3 thin coats.

Champagne Bubbles is such a unique shade! On me, it's a pale burnt orange, though I have heard that it leans more brown/caramel on other skin tones. I don't know that I have anything like it in my collection! I know shades like these are not always fan favorites, but I personally love when companies come out with colors like this. This one was on the sheer side and I actually needed 4 coats to reach an opacity that I liked, but they were 4 very thin coats.

Finally, we have Gray Sky, a pale silver grey shimmer creme. I honestly wasn't sure about this one in the bottle because I was worried that the shimmer would make this look too metallic-y for my taste, but on the nail that shimmer makes for a very nice look. The formula was nice enough and shown is 2-3 coats.

And, because I love using Barielle shades for nail art, I did a simple abstract floral look inspired by this pattern I've had pinned for ages! I absolutely love how it turned out! I just did simple layers upon layers of different dots to create this look - super simple, but super effective! I also added a matte top coat over this and love how that makes the colors look together.

You can purchase these and many other Barielle shades now from their website for $8/bottle...or, grab the entire collection for just $25 (found here)! Be sure to follow Barielle on your favorite social media site to stay up to date with their latest releases and promotions!
