Live Love Polish - Models Own Fruit Pastel Collection: Swatches, Review & Snowflake Nail Art

Hello all! I know it's winter, but that doesn't mean we can't still enjoy some fantastic pastel shades ;) I have lots of new goodies to share over the next few days from my favorite polish retailer, Live Love Polish and today I'm sharing swatches of some Models Own polishes! Live Love Polish has an amazing selection that is growing daily (including some indie brands which I seriously love and respect). They also offer free shipping on orders over $20 (International orders ship free for orders over $100). If you've got a polish lover on your holiday gift list, be sure to check out the shipping times to be sure you get your items in time for whatever holidays you celebrate!
Anyway, let's take a look at these delicious shades...and the nail art I've done as well!
Grape Juice is a lavender creme that smells like, well, grape juice! At least the cap does ;) I can't quite tell if the polish itself is scented or if it's just the cap, but I appreciate that it's mild in scent because I don't necessarily want to wander around smelling fruity. Regardless, the novelty of these are quite fun. The application of this was lovely, self-leveling and opaque in just 2 thick coats.
Peach Melba is a soft pastel orange creme that reminds me of a 50/50 bar or a peach cobbler. Usually I don't like the scent of artificial peach, but this scent is fairly mild and quite lovely! This one was a bit patchy (which is normal for light colors like this), but 3 thin coats got the job done nicely.
Apple Pie is pale sage green pastel that I LOVE. It's such a subtle and pretty shade of green and the cap smells of delicious apple pie. I really like how when you're applying this it smells but it doesn't linger around (sometimes I can be sensitive to scents). This shade is a bit on the thin side so be sure to use at least 3 thin coats to reach opacity.
Finally, we have Coconut Cream, a soft almost white creme, with hints of tan/beige undertones that I'm loving. I can see this being the base for many a mani in the future. This is a thin polish, but not running or too sheer, which is nice because I was able to build opacity in thin coats. Shown is 4 VERY thin coats which meant this was not thick on the nail at all.
While these are very much pastels, I love pastels in winter! I think light and bright shades like this are lovely so I decided to do some snowflake nail art with these shades! Unfortunately, there wasn't as much contrast between the shades as I was hoping, but nonetheless, I still like this :)
Overall, I think it's safe to say that I love these shades! Maybe it's because it's winter time and I'm craving the light colors, but these are just so lovely. They all applied really nicely and the scent of each polish was not overwhelming, but instead a mild and pleasant experience while applying the polish.
You can purchase these and many more Models Own polishes directly from Live Love Polish for $8.50/bottle. Be sure to follow Live Love Polish on your favorite social media site to stay up to date on their latest stocked items, promotions and even nail art!
