Cirque Colors x Pop-In @ Nordstrom - Vans 50th Anniversary Celebration: Checkerboard Nail Art Kit

press sample

Hello, all! Wow it's been a while, hasn't it? I've been insanely busy at my day job (pesky thing, that) and then also busy traveling to handle wedding planning duties. But, it's that time of year where new Fall collections are upon us and I have so many beautiful goodies to share with you all!

Today I have a fun little duo that is the first post in a series of polishes from Cirque Colors! They're doing another fun Pop-In @ Nordstrom, this time partnering up with Vans for their 50th Anniversary Celebration! They've created 3 exclusive shades in primary hues, as well as 3 nail art kits to celebrate the occasion. First up is one one the nail art kits which helps you create the classic Vans Checkerboard!

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Teal

nothing to disclose

Hello, my dear friends! I have the next mani for the 40 Great Nail Art Ideas challenge to share with you today! This week we start our "color and pattern" portion of the challenge which I'm excited about. If you'll recall, last week all the ladies were inspired by a specific theme (hobbies)...so basically, one week we will do a theme, then a color + pattern prompt, then a theme, then a color + pattern...and so on until we've gone mad ;)

What's cool about the color + pattern portion of the challenge is that while all the ladies will be doing teal colored manis, every has a different pattern prompt! Neat, right? You can check out the inlinkz at the bottom to see what they've all come up with for teal.

The Digital Dozen does Neon - Day 5: Geometric

nothing to disclose

Happy Happy Friday, all! Wow, can you believe I made it through the week?! ;) I'm so excited to be back into the nail art way and hopefully I can keep it up in the future. I so miss doing nail art regularly (and don't worry, I should hopefully have an AWESOME mani to share tomorrow - so excited about it already!).

For my final day of Digital Dozen Neon week, I've done a simple but striking geometric pattern with my trusty striping brush.

Mischo Beauty - Swatches, Review & Nail Art

Press Sample

Hello, all! Today I have a new to me brand to share, Mischo Beauty! Mischo was created by Kitiya Mischo King while she was pregnant with her son and it's all about being 5-Free, long lasting, and fashion forward. So far, I am thoroughly impressed with these polishes and love the minimalistic chic feeling the colors and the bottles evoke. I have the two Spring polishes as well as a charity polish to share today (as well as some fun geometric nail art!) so let's take a look!

The Digital Dozen does 2nd Anniversary Themes, Day 3 - Sapphires: Geometric Ruffian

Press Sample

Hello, all! Playing some major catch up today and posting my Day 3 of Digital Dozen week! If you think back all the way to Monday/Tuesday, you might recall that the group was doing manis inspired by all things 2's, September related and 2nd Anniversary related. Day 3 was 'Sapphires' (September's birthstone)...and I hated this prompt. With a passion.

This was probably the hardest Digital Dozen challenge theme ever for me. I wracked my brain for 4 days and couldn't come up with anything that I liked for the theme. It killed my mojo a bit for the rest of the themes but I couldn't move forward with the challenge until I got through the damn Sapphire day!

Bright Wallpaper inspired Triangles

Happy Saturday! I had a crazy crazy work week...I was there from 7:30am to 11:30pm on Wednesday night and I've spent the last few days recovering a bit from all that. Despite still feeling tired, I've been craving nail art the past few days so I'm glad I actually sat down and went for it today.

As you know, I love doing art inspired by patterns and prints I find online. Recently I came across this fantastic site, Sian Elin, that creates a slew of items from pillows to wallpaper to textiles and I'm finding myself obsessed with the bold patterns. With all the textiles I'm falling in love with lately, I'm going to need a giant house to accommodate them all ;) I've had this pattern saved on my phone for about a month and every time I scrolled by it I was just dying to give it a go in nail art form.
