Metro Pollenating my nails

Hello, all! Well, Sunday night is here once again, and all too quickly. I've decided to paint another floral to cheer myself up a bit. I recently purchased the China Glaze City Flourish collection, and while the formula of this collection leaves something to be desired, the colors are so fantastic that I can overlook the issues with the polishes. 

I've been working a few of the new CG collection polishes into my manis lately (my Beauty Buffs post used all CG polishes!) but I haven't found a way to work the vibrant "Metro Pollen-tin" into anything lately. I decided to just paint my nails with it and see where the polish took me! You could say this polish pollenated my nails and created this look! Eh? Eh? ;) Sorry, I only come up with terrible jokes.

Happy Saturday, all! Sorry for my gap in posts lately! Because of the boyfriend's work schedule, I don't see him from Saturday/Sunday to Wednesday night. This typically means that I'll post Sunday-Tuesday and then I disappear for a few days so I can catch up with him for a few days. I usually try to get a mani in here and there during his days off, but this week I ended up catching some sort of sickness and have just been feeling lousy all weekend. 

I am also trying to make some positive changes in my life in regards to my health! I just joined a gym and will be working with a personal trainer for 16 weeks and I'm excited to see where that takes me. Hopefully I'll end up with a smokin' hot bod ;) This, however, means that my nail art time might be cut down a bit. I'm hoping not, but we'll see how things pan out. I just know I need to take care of myself and be healthy so I can continue to paint flowers on my nails for years to come :D 

So yes, more floral nail art tonight! I am the "floral queen" after all, so I don't want to lose my crown :p 

Funky Floral

Yeee! Can I just say that I am so super duper uber excited about this mani!? I'm sure that by now you all know of my passion/love/obsession with floral looks (and hopefully you're not getting tired of them!) and this manicure is just making me so happy to look at! Prepare for photos!!

This didn't actually start out as well as I had originally hoped. I had done almost 4 nails of another floral look but was really hating it. Sometimes I will push through with a design and hope that once I'm finished and have added a top coat that I'll finally like it. But that didn't happen with my original look.  At all. So, I scratched what I was doing and plunged my painted fingers into my super awkward acetone tub from Target (I mean, it's pink and has weird bristles and is just...weird...but works wonders!) and started fresh. And I'm so happy that I did! 

I ended up with these super funky flowers and am just so freaking happy with out they turned out. I was roughly inspired by a pattern from colourlovers.com and I absolutely love when I create something that I just want to stare at for hours. It doesn't always happen and I'm so proud of myself when I'm able to create something I really truly love. I hope you love them like I do!
