Powder Perfect - The Hardwicke Collection: Swatches & Review

press sample

Hello, all! I've had a pretty rough last few days and to top it all off, I've managed to get sick...but! I have swatches of the stunning new Hardwicke Collection by the always fabulous Powder Perfect to share today! If you'll recall from last year's review of the Mysterius Magnum collection, Jacinta always manages to create wonderfully ethereal themes and polishes to pair with them.

The village of Hardwicke is nestled in a valley between snow-capped mountains, surrounded by
forest that stretches as far as the eye can see.
During the spring months, winter lingers on & fog clings like a shadow to the mountainside.

In the stillness of the morning you can hear the woodcutter at work, splitting logs felled in the
woods. Children play in the nearby creek.
The night draws closer.
A woman lights a candle and puts it on the window sill, waiting for them to come home.

Life is, as it has been for hundreds of years.

Woodcutter is a beige holographic polish and a perfect neutral tone with a little extra something. I love this shade! Great formula and shown is just 2 smooth coats.

The Crossroads is a hard to describe shade! It's almost a coppery brown holographic shade with tons of bronze flakies. The formula was super easy and shown is 2 coats.

The Village is a deep charcoal linear holo that is a must have for lovers of a good black polish. This reminds me a bit of an oil slick, where you catch the light and see the awesome rainbow of colors. Show is 2 easy coats.

Sunset in the Valley a berry pink linear holo shade that is brightest of the collection. This has the same great formula as the two other holos so far and shown is 2-3 smooth coats!

Meet Me in the Glade is a rusty rose holo with a scattering of red and gold flakies that combine for a fiery and striking combo. I feel like this shade would be seen in the feathers of a phoenix! Great formula and shown is 2 coats.

Shadow of the Mountain is a greyed out lilac holo with an almost blue to purple scattering of micro-flakies. The flakies were hard to spot but overall this is such a lovely hue of purple. Shown is 2 smooth coats (like the other holos so far).

Ensorcel is a deep royal purple holo polish with large golden flakies that are much more pronounced than my photos show. It was tricky to capture them but they make for really unique and nice combination! Shown is 3 coats.

Dust & Shadows is another holo and once again, I am not disappointed! This is a deep purple (almost blurple!) holo that feels so royal and sophisticated to me. I absolutely love it and it's probably my favorite of the purples in the collection. Great formula and shown is just 2 coats.

Borders of the Forest is a dark green polish full of blue to green micro-flakies and somehow manages to also have a holographic effect to it. Holy wow, this one is so stunning. Definitely a favorite of the collection. Shown is 2 easy and smooth coats.

And just some simple tree nail art over Borders of the Forest.

Overall, I am once again impressed by Powder Perfect's product. Jacinta has created a very cohesive and beautiful collection with great formulas all around.
