KBShimmer - Winter 2015: Swatches & Review

press sample

Hello, all! Hope the start of your week is going well! It's a short work week here in the States because this Thursday is Thanksgiving (aka my favorite holiday ever!). I love being able to catch up with family and we spend the entire time laughing and eating so I really couldn't be happier! Nothing better than that ;)

Today I have swatches of some of the fab new KBShimmer Winter polishes. I am always smitten with the polishes that Christy and her team dream up each season and love that they have such a great variety. They really create something for every one! Let's take a look! And, seeing as we're coming up on a big gifting holiday, be sure to check out my past KBShimmer posts to see if there are any other shades that might tick a few items off your list!

Brrr-tiful Dreamer is a greyed out grape crelly packed with aqua, silver, purple and fuchsia glitters. Right off the bat this is a favorite of mine. I just love how a muted purple looks on the nail - it has a wonderful balance of feminine and badd-ass! Shown is 3 easy coats.

Smoke Signal is pale grey crelly with orange, red, and aqua holo glitters. I'm a lover of grey polishes and while this one feels slightly more "fall" to me than winter, I'm really loving the color palette (I love orange and blue together!). Shown is 3 coats.

For Fox Sake is a pale burnt orange creme that absolutely screams fall/thanksgiving! I love great orange shades like this and I am so excited to have this in my collection. Formula was great and shown is just 2 easy breezy coats.

How Corn-y is a pale orange crelly packed to the gills with burgundy, gold, red, and orange glitters. This one is inspired by Indian Corn and I absolutely see that inspiration in this polish! I love the mix of shades and it's a great fall/thanksgiving polish! Shown is 3 coats. Because there are so many glitters in this one, it will be on the thicker side.

Yule Worthy is a a rich burgundy to chocolate brown creme densely packed with coppery metallic micro flakies. I am so insanely smitten with this polish. I was not expecting to love this one as much as I did, but it's the perfect mix of a rich vampy shade with a little extra sparkle. I really love this one. Shown is 2 coats, though it was practically a one coater.

Chilly Pepper is a Christmas red creme that is perfection for this time of year. It actually seemed like a jelly when I first pulled the brush out of the bottle, but on the nail it leans more creme. As with all KBShimmer's cremes, the formula was perfection and I needed just 2 easy coats to reach full, beautiful opacity.

Kind of a Big Dill is a Christmas tree, deep forest green jelly loaded with micro and small silver holo glitters. LOVE this one quite a bit. It's got a great formula and it's squishy and delicious. Shown is 3 coats, though 2 was almost enough.

Overall, I once again enjoy what KBShimmer has created this season. There is a nice ranch of shades and finishes so there is a little something for everyone and there are quite a few transitional shades as well that will get you through the end of fall and into the winter season.

Also available now are several new winter/holiday water slide decals and some delicious winter scent inspired mani bombs! To see the new releases of each, scroll to the bottom of the Winter releases page. Or to check out all the water slide decals and all the mani bombs, click here and here, respectively.

In addition to the above polishes and the rest of the winter collection, this year brings another Toys For Tots charity polish, Toying Around, where $4 of each bottle purchased will be donated to the Toys for Tots charity.

Additionally, when you spend $75 or more, you will automatically receive a KBShimmer makeup bag with samples, holiday glitter, and a full size bottle of Clearly on Top. This runs through the end of the year (or until supplies last) and will automatically be added to your bag when you read the price threshold.

You can purchase all of these now from KBShimmer.com. Be sure to follow KBS on your favorite social media page to stay up to date with the latest collections and promotions!
