ncLA - Runway Collection: Swatches, Review & Nail Art

Hello, all! I hope where ever in the world you are, that your Monday is going smoothly! It's actually my birthday today! I'm the ripe old age of 24 and I'm still not sure what I'm doing with my life! Yikes!

Today I have some swatches and a review of the ncLA Runway collection to share with you all! I have been in love with ncLA for so long and I'm so excited to share this collection with you today!

For those who don't know, ncLA is a 5-free nail polish company and they hail from good ole Los Angeles, California (only about an hour from where I live!). They also create some fantastic nail wraps in an unlimited number of designs for those who might not enjoy creating the nail art as much as wearing it (and there's nothing wrong with that!). I love the mix of high fashion and sophistication that ncLA exudes, while still keeping true to the laid back and trendy feel of Southern California.
Call My Agent
Call My Agent is a vibrant bright red creme that is the perfect shade for a no-nonsense kind of gal. I'm not usually drawn to reds, but I really love this one. There are some slight coral undertones, but it is still very much a red polish. The application of this was quite nice and shown is 3 coats with top coat.
Oh me, oh my! I do love this polish! Catwalk Queen is a stunning eggshell creme that makes me squeal in delight. The shade is perfection. However, the formula left a little bit to be desired. It was chalky on application and dried very quickly so the possibility for it to self-level diminishes very quickly. Despite this, it is still very possible to get a nice smooth finish on this and you only need 3 thin coats to reach full opacity. I know this will make a regular appearance in my nail art.
Model Behavior is the last in the Runway collection and is a deep brown creme with strong mauve to eggplant undertones. I love how unique this shade is and the formula was similar to that of Call My Agent - easy to work with and self-leveling. Shown is 3 coats with top coat.
And since I'm obsessed with the look of these 3 polishes together, I had to do some nail art with them. I did a simple abstract dahlia look with Call My Agent and Model Behavior creating an almost color blocked effect.
Overall, I really like these shades. I think the colors are outstanding and I'm especially in love with Catwalk Queen. However, it should be noted that all the brushes in this collection were a bit wonky. They were still very usable, but there were a few bristles that stuck out and caused some minor annoyance while painting. It's entirely possible though that I got a weird batch of brushes.

You can purchase the Runway Collection (and much more!) directly from the ncLA website for $16/bottle. Be sure to follow ncLA on your favorite social media site to stay up to date with the latest releases and promotions!

So, what do you think of this collection? Any polishes calling your name like they did for me?

Happy Polishing :)
