Damask Love

Hello all! Hope everyone in the States had a good President's 3 day weekend (if you were lucky enough to get one!). I had to work today and got home late but I've been wanting to share this mani since I did it at the beginning of the month and I just couldn't wait any longer!

I love damask patterns so much and lately I've been seeing chairs, pillows, walls, what have you, covered in this bold and classy pattern and I've been wanting to do it on my nails for so long. I'm so very pleased with how these turned out and I'd love to hear how you feel about them as well!

Damask patterns have been around for ages and lately there has been a big revival of the pattern with bright colors...and I think I need it in all aspects of my life. The fact that a bunch of these items are in my favorite bright teal/turquoise color doesn't help my desire to own all things damask.
So, this is another mani that I used acrylic for. I did this for two reasons. The first being that acrylic gives me more control over my line work and second, because as soon as I pulled this paint out of the drawer I knew I needed it on my fingers, stat. Does anyone know of an equivalent polish color? China Glaze's For Audrey and all those similar shades look like they're close in color, but they're a little more greyed out than this acrylic paint. I'm on the hunt!

The base for these is my favorite white, OPI's My Boyfriend Scales Walls and I used my trimmed down acrylic brush to do the line work. I wish I had taken video of this to share with you all, but I didn't remember that that was an option until about 30 minutes after I was done. Darn brain.
What do you think of these? I think I want to do a bunch of damask looks with other bright and vibrant colors like these. I see a new obsession in the works for me ;)

Happy Polishing :)
