Nail Art: The Planner Society Washi Series - August 2015

nothing to disclose

Hello, all! Hurray for Wednesdays! Tuesdays are probably my least favorite day of the week so I always feel tremendous relief when I make it through the day! I'm already looking forward to the coming weekend but in the meantime, I'm excited to have some nail art to share today!

Yes, I know it's yet another floral, but when I saw my inspiration print, I knew I had to paint it. It just SPOKE to me! It was love at first sight and I have no self control, so of course, painting ensued.

As you might know by now, aside from my nail polish hobby, I also have a mild obsession with planners and with creating beautiful pages to get me through the week in an organized yet aesthetically pleasing fashion ;) One of my favorite places to find inspiration for my planning is from The Planner Society.

Each month, there is an amazing planner kit put together and I've recently signed up to get one as well. I'm quite excited! The only downfall is that I won't be getting the kit until September...and this amazing washi tape will be in the August kit! *sigh*...so, since I can't actually get my hands on the washi tape, I'll take the next best thing and paint my take of the print on my nails!

I love the ease of the original pattern and I did my best to capture that while also putting my own little spin on it. I really love how these turned out!

The base is Zoya's Tiana, and I used a mix of acrylic paints and my detail brush to paint the flowers and details. I contemplated a matte top coat for this one, but I really liked the glossy finish and how it made the colors stand out.

How do you like these? Do you have a planner obsession like I do (please say yes!)? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Happy Polishing :)
