The Juice Box - Swatches & Review

Happy Thursday evening/Friday morning, everyone! Today I've got the latest collection from an awesome indie brand called the Juice Box Lacquer! This collection is inspired by a friend of Bre's who is pregnant...and feeling the pains of it! This is the Pregnancy Pains 2.0 collection and is a really fun and refreshing collection for this time of year. One of my best friend's is currently pregnant so the names of these polishes were cracking me up after hearing everything she's been going through ;)

Bre is also a member of a monthly indie subscription box called "The Glitter Box" and I'm excited to say I'll get to swatch their April box as well! Stay tuned for that and some nail art to accompany the swatches (hopefully)!

Can I Sleep All Day?

Can I Sleep All Day might be my favorite of this collection! It's a dark grey creme with maroon iridescent micro glitter that adds phenomenal dimension. To top that off, there are small magenta round glitters and a few random teal flakie shards that add just a touch more interest. I love grey polishes so this was an immediate win for me. The formula was easy to work with and shown is 2-3 coats.
Brain Fart
Brain Fart is a bright pink jelly with neon blue circle and hex glitters. This is a fantastic summer polish. I mean, who doesn't love a polish that makes them look tan?? Since this is a sheer jelly, I've shown this over a light pink polish (China Glaze's Spring in my Step). While this is a color you might be able to build to opacity, I'd recommend layering it over another color so you don't get a really thick mani. Plus, layering allows for that really cool effect of multiple glitter layers. Shown is 2 coats with glitter placement over the China Glaze listed above.
H2O
H2O is a gorgeous blue jelly packed full of iridescent flakies. This is another jelly that's on the sheer side, though there is definitely potential to build the opacity on it's own. I've paired this with Zoya's Edie and I think it's a really mesmerizing polish. The formula was good, just use thin coats if you're going to go for not undie polish. Shown is 1 coat over the Zoya polish.
Overall
This is a fun collection that is a nice breath of fresh air this time of year (I love my pastels, but it's nice to see something different!). The formula on all of these was nice and if you use thin coats you'll have no application issues. I think my favorite is definitely Can I Sleep All Day, though these are all great colors.

The Pregnancy Pains 2.0 collection will be available for pre-order this Saturday (March 29th) and if you like any of these babies, you won't want to wait to order :) You can follow The Juice Box Lacquers on Instagram or on Bre's blog

What do you think of this collection? The names had me cracking up ;)

Happy Polishing! :)
