KBShimmer - Fall 2015: Swatches, Review & Nail Art

press sample

Hello, again! I've got a special double post for today seeing as the fantastic KBShimmer is releasing their beautiful Fall 2015 collection today! KBS is one of those brands that has been around forever yet still manages to stay fresh and on trend. Their formulas are always so easy to work with and their polishes are stunning. You really can't ask for more from a brand.

For Fall, there are 4 cremes and 8 glitter shades for a total of 12 beauties. I have 2 of the cremes and 4 of the glitters to share with you today as well as a couple nail art looks that I'm loving so let's dig in!

Teal It To My Heart is, well, telling my heart that we were made for each other. This is seriously such an incredibly hue and when I think of fall shades, this is one of the colors that seems to pop into my head. As with all the KBS cremes I've encountered so far, the formula is perfection in a bottle and a dream to apply. Shown is 2 easy coat with top coat.

I also did a simple leopard print mani using this as the base along with I Feel Gourd-geous (see below swatch) for the dots.

Breaking Blues is a dark periwinkle blue creme that is another beautiful shade for fall (and year round!). I seriously love these rich cremes!! This one does have a slight odor to it so don't be surprised by that as it's normal for this particular color. Shown is 2 nice coats.

I haven't done a tiny floral in awhile and this color was begging to be paired with some contrasting colors...so here is what I came up with! I love it!!

Carpe Denim is the night sky in a bottle and I am yet again in awe of KBS. This is an incredible polish. It's an indigo based jelly with holo mixed in and makes me weak at the knees. The formula is amazing and shown is 2 super smooth coats.

Open Toad Shoes is a pale olive green crelly with chartreuse, navy, and burgundy glitters and is so unique and SO my style. I was worried that this was going to clash with my skin tone, and while it might not have much contrast with my skin, I really love the look of this polish. Shown is 3 coats with top coat (though 2 was also nice!). Also, let's talk about that AWESOMELY CUTE name!? So fun!

I Feel Gourd-geous is in fact gorgeous. I think I actually squealed in delight when I opened up my nail mail and saw this beauty. It's perfect. It reminds me of one of my all time favorites, China Glaze's I'm Not Lion, but this is much more coppery. This is going to be a great polish for the fall but also winter (can't you see yourself wearing this on New Years??).  This is in a clear base so the first coat seemed like it wasn't going to have great coverage, but the 2nd and 3rd coat were perfect.

Fig-Get About It is the last of the polishes I have to share with you today and it's a gorgeous fig colored burgundy holo with a flawless and smooth application. This has a burnt feeling to it that feels so "fall" to me and I'm glad there is an overtly fall shade in the collection (and one so pretty!). Shown is 2 coats.

In addition to the new polish releases, there are tons of new Mani Bombs, vinyls, waterslide decals, and rainbow oil slick tools to choose from that will help you maintain and prep your nails, as well as decorate them with ease.

Overall, I really love this collection. It feels very fall to me and the polishes are just stunning (no surprise there!). I especially love those cremes and the holos...and the crellies...okay, I can't pick! I love them all.

You can purchase these polishes now from the KBShimmer site individually, or purchase the entire collection and receive a free bottle of clearly on top with your order! Be sure to follow KBShimmer on your favorite social media site to stay up to date with the latest collections and releases!
