Nothing to Disclose
Hello, all! Another Digital Dozen week is upon us and I'm excited! I feel like (and know) I haven't done real nail art in forever. I know I've been doing lots of reviews and swatching lately but I'm trying to find a balance between the two so bear with me while I'm catching up!
For this week's theme, the ladies of the Digital Dozen are taking on an interesting theme...Patterns on Patterns...meaning, well, a pattern over a pattern! This is going to be interesting ;)
For today's look, I went with a wood grain patterned base and a floral pattern over the top of that...I know that these aren't exactly patterns, but I think the concept is there? I feel like I'm going to have to stick with simpler takes on this theme or things will get very cluttered very quickly.
I used a base of Zoya's Codie and then used a mud colored acrylic paint to add the woodgrain base. I loved how it look plain and I wish I had taken a photo of it! For the flowers, I used more acrylic paints and literally just painted small blobs and dots everywhere to create the flowers. I like the more abstract look of them. To finish up, I used one of my (new! yay!) bottles of OPI's Matte Top Coat.
While I do like these, I also think there is A LOT going on...what do you think? Is it all too much?
