The Beauty Buffs - Metallic: Galaxy Nail Art

Hello, all! Hope your week is going well! I'm finally (and excitedly!) able to get back into the swing of things and post with the talented ladies of the Beauty Buffs! This week's theme is Metallic! I'm not usually one to wear metallics, but I like challenges like this because it makes me think outside the box! In the end, I really like how this turned out!

So, as you can (hopefully) see, I've done a metallic galaxy nail! When I was brain storming, for this look, I tried a few random metallic looks out (including a gradient and some free hand work), but I wasn't happy with the result. In the end, I settled for something simple, but what I think it still pretty unique and different, without being too over powering.

I started with a base of China Glaze's Meet Me Under the Stars (as it's a perfect starry night sky polish) and then randomly dabbed on CG's I'd Melt for you (silver), CG's Strike Up a Cosmo (metallic pink) and Essie's Ruffles & Feathers (teal). In some places, I went back over again with the base polish to blend everything a little bit better. Finally, I added a ton of stars in white acrylic paint!

Overall, I really like these! I think they're still metallic, but in a more subtle way and I like that :) I do wish the metallic polishes showed a bit stronger metallic, but I'm still pleased with these. What do you think? Would you do a metallic galaxy? What type of metallic looks are your favorite?

Happy Polishing :)
