China Glaze Autumn Nights Fall 2013 Swatches - Part 1: Strike Up A Cosmo

Hello, All! Today I've got the first part of the China Glaze Fall Autumn Nights Collection to share with you all. I hadn't seen much on this collection prior to purchasing this, so I figured I'd splurge on it and share them all with you! Here is the first side of the collection - Strike Up A Cosmo

Strike Up A Cosmo
Strike Up A Cosmo is my definite favorite from this side. It is a pink foil loaded with gold flecks. It's really quite stunning. The formula is great and shown is 2 coats.

Red-y & Willing
A very vibrant and pretty red shimmer, Red-y & Willing is one of my favorite shimmers from the entire collection. It has a great formula and was opaque in almost 1 coat. Shown is 2.

Scandalous Shenanigans
Scandalous Shenanigans is a cobalt blue shimmer with some frost undertones. I'm really not a fan of frost finish polishes so I can't say I'm a fan of this one. Regardless, I do think this has a good formula. Shown is 2 coats.

Don't Make Me Wine
Don't Make Me Wine seems very similar to Red-y & Willing in the bottle, but is definitely a magenta once on the nail. It's another shimmer with some frosty undertones and I struggled a bit with some brush strokes showing. The formula was good, however, and shown is 2 coats.

Tongue & Chic
My other favorite shimmer from this collection, Tongue & Chic is a teal shimmer that was a pleasant surprise for me. I'm usually not a fan of shimmers but I actually wore this one for a day and really liked it! This is 2 coats.

Goldie But Goodie
Goldie But Goodie is a lovely gold foil that has a ton of dimension to it with some copper flecks mixed in. While I don't think this works with my skin tone, I really like this color Shown is 2 coats.

I'll hold off on my final opinion of this collection until I post the second part, but if I had to choose favorites for this side of the collection, I'd go with Tongue & Chic and Strike Up A Cosmo. I'll be posting part 2 shortly so stay tuned!

What do you think of this collection so far? Wowed? Or Unenthused?

Happy Polishing! :)

  1. They are all beautiful, but my favourite from this post is Red-y & Willing.
