31 Day Nail Art Challenge - Day 18: Half Moons

Tonight's post will be short and sweet! I'm exhausted and can't even believe that I'm still awake...I'm definitely not functioning on all cylinders so bear with me if I don't make sense through out this post ;)

Today's challenge theme was Half Moons - a look I haven't tried before but has been on my list. I contemplated a few different designs for tonight and considered adding some stripes or patterns inside the half moon, but in the end, I did a really simple mani.

I used OPI's My Paprika is Hotter Than Yours as the orange/red half moon and A-Piers to be Tan as the tip color. The black is your basic acrylic paint since I'm able to control the paint better for free hand work. I used some reinforcement labels to create the half moons and it was a pretty simple technique.
Overall, I really like this look. It's almost color blocked and reminds me of the Mod style! What do you think?

Happy Polishing :)

  1. I love these colour combination very much! :D I think I had a scrunchy with similar colours! Most of the cloth is brown with black fine pattern prints and a red bow! I love that scrunchy very much! And your nail art totally reminds me of it :) ♥ Love the minimalism and the beauty of this! ♥

  2. You can do it even at your home. It is not necessary that you should visit a beautician every time you wish to have these designs done. edge nail shape
