A Winter's Morning

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas filled with family, friends and laughter :)

Today I've got a reject post of sorts. I had originally done this look with the intension of it being a guest post, and while I liked the look, I just didn't like it for the guest post.

I was inspired by an image that I found online of a snowy tree scene that had the sunrise light shining through the trees and I fell in love. Despite my attempts, my take on this photo ended up being a bit more abstract and vibrant than I had intended.
To start this look, I did a simple gradient as a base using Zoya's Breezi, OPI's My Vampire is Buff and Zoya's Pippa. The trees were done with white and black acrylic paint and a mixture of greys and purples in an attempt to show the shadows. Finally, the yellow was meant to be the sun beams shining onto the fresh powder snow.
Usually my thumb is the "dud" of the nails as it's usually my practice nail and it doesn't always end up looking nice. In this case, I think it was my favorite of the bunch and I tried desperately to make the rest of my nails match it (to no avail!).
What do you think of this look? I almost feel like I'm in candy land or something and would be walking around on cotton candy ;)
 Happy Polishing :)
